Something a little different!

Every so often we receive an email enquiry that makes the creative juices flow and we have one client in particular whose requests always make me smile!

It all started with a damaged table football game acquired from a local indoor market for a few pounds. “Can you turn this into a coffee table?” was the request.

After getting our hands on the unloved and sorry looking table we quickly realized that it would need major surgery to bring it back to life! Stripping back and salvaging what we could we rebuilt the table to the normal coffee table height and topped it with a shiny sheet of toughened glass to create a beautiful piece of furniture.

Fire hose table

Next was an old fire hose found in the garage under a pile of wood…. Again we stripped back to the bare reel, gave the metalwork a deep clean and added a glass top supported by the existing hose, split to create a stable cushioned edge. We sat the reel on hand made reclaimed mahogany feet to create the required height.

Bowling Pin Table

Returning from the loft with a Sainsbury’s carrier bag, our next commission arrived – 10 pins from an old skittles set!! Battered and bruised they needed some serious surroundings to make them look good. Using reclaimed oak and some left over pipe and fittings we again created another coffee table topped with a toughened glass triangle. Luckily the pins all had a manufacturing hole in the base so we were able to add dowels to the oak base to stabilize the whole piece.

BMX Handle bars

After a charity shop visit BMX handlebars were next to get the makeover treatment. A simple shield shaped and made from a piece of reclaimed mahogany was used and pipe fittings attached the handles perfectly – bicycle taxidermy at it’s best!

We can’t wait to see what arrives on our doorstep next!!!
